1. Reflect on Your Practices
The first step in strengthening your classroom management, is to reflect on the practices you use in the classroom. This lesson will give you strategies on how to do this and 4 key areas to focus on for reflection!
2. Create Your Philosophy
Once you reflect on your classroom management practices, you have a starting point on how to build your classroom management philosophy! Of course there are universal things that fall under management, but here is where we use our reflections and think outside of the traditional box, to truly consider what you need to have in place for your classroom to run like a well-oiled machine and for your students to succeed!
3. Ask Essential Questions
After reflecting on your classroom management practices and developing your own philosophy, the next step is to ask yourself important questions to determine the strategies, procedures, policies and tools you believe you need to have in place for effective classroom management! This course includes 40 questions to help you get started!
4. Create Your Plan
Use steps 1-3 to start creating your classroom management plan! Don’t worry, you don’t have to create it from scratch! This course also includes the 30+page classroom management plan I created using the steps taught in this course!
5. Create a Checklist
Once you have fully written out your classroom management plan, use it to create a checklist of actions to complete at the beginning of the school year! To help create yours, I also included my own classroom routines and procedures checklist!
